Allan Alstead
Allan started Alstead Consulting in 2000 after ten most successful years as Chief Executive of sportscotland (formerly The Scottish Sports Council) following a career of high achievement in the Army where he completed his service as a Brigadier in a key NATO appointment at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, having previously commanded his regiment (The King's Own Scottish Borderers) and the 51st Highland Brigade.
He has a CBE for his international achievements for the nation while in the Army, a MPhil degree from the University of Wales and was one of a very few select group to be awarded a NATO Research Fellowship which he completed at Edinburgh University.
He is a Fellow of The British Institute of Sports Administrators, the Institute of Management, the Institute of Directors and the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
